Relationship Practice

This is an extremely comprehensive practice on several levels. Through it you are connecting to many different beings and many different groups of people. When you connect to any of these individuals or groups you are actually having an active relationship with that person or those beings. This relationship is alive and active. Whatever qualities or attributes or thoughts you hold when in this connection are transferred to that individual or group. It does have its effect immediately and very profoundly. Your broadness or limitation, openness or closed attitudes, and whatever thoughts or feelings or intentions you have create a framework for this interaction. You are having a relationship at this time, and like all relationships this can change, grow, be healed, and deepen. With whatever individual or group you are connected it gives you an opportunity to heal any difficulties or misunderstandings, find common ground, grow toward unity, perceive from that individual's or group's perspective, and become as one in body and function.

The practice and relationship grows from attention and identification from small to unlimited. It then incorporates the unlimited and infinite unmanifest with a focus and awareness of this solid world and those finer worlds, and those within it - including one's own body. The practice is based on experience saying that universal love that exists and pervades all, and then applying this, utilizing this, to also pervade actively each relationship. The focus of this love moves from oneself as a small being to incorporate oneself as part of all. This is done through immersion in the range of love that exists. If you are able to be aware of the presence, movement, and function of this great love immediately, and it is very easy and natural to focus. This is something not in your immediate awareness, consciousness, and feeling it will first need to be established. This can be done through many processes, perhaps the very easiest being physically in the presence of someone else who is able to do this and has this connection and has immersed in this reality. Thereby that feeling, consciousness, an active love will also be present in you. If you do not have the opportunity of physical connection with that type of person there are other methods that can be used instead. While there are practices of breathing in and out of the heart, and they are certainly very useful, let me suggest you begin with establishing the breath of love through practice I call Breathing Love. This practice can be found here.

After establishing this breath and process you place your attention first on what you consider yourself to be. You then love yourself. Following this, you become aware of and place your attention upon many different groups. You connect with each group, feel and accept it very clearly, and then incorporate this group in this love, this universal breath of love. These groups become larger, or more and more refined, higher and higher in being, and more universal in nature, until it reaches the ideal, the unmanifest. Keeping this in awareness and heart you then include and identify as part of yourself each of these groups in reverse order until again you come to your own body.

It is suggested that initially you focus strictly on the breathing love practice until this is well-established. After that, you apply and include yourself and a single group within this breath and heart. Then you move on to the next group and do the same. It may be a very short time that you spend with each group, or it may be several days. Whatever it takes, complete that focus before moving on. When you've gone through each of the groups or being(s) individually, you then return through each group with a new perspective, this being the universal perspective, of the unmanifest, the Ideal Beloved showing its face and making up that group, those beings.

There is the question of what is it that you are trying to do when you place your attention upon and connect to those individuals or groups. Whatever it is that I write now and explain is only touching on a small portion of what is possible. So whereever you start, I suggest you keep an open heart and mind and look for that guidance and greater understand to unfold within your self as to what can be done, and to where this can grow. But let me say that essentially in the beginning you are becoming aware of and focusing on that unity of being in and as some of its parts. By doing so you can then focus on the smaller segment, which makes it easier to become aware of its specific qualities and attributes, and your functioning relationship to it. It then gives you the opportunity to work, step-by-step, individual or group by group, to more easily develop that unity of being. If you continue to seek guidance and inspiration as to what more is available, it will come to you and unfold according to your capacity, intention, and clarity.

Following is a list of groups or beings in the order to be considered:
1. Your own body, followed by your own attitudes, desires, aspects, and yourself as a whole.
2. Your partner, if you're in that type of relationship.
